Junior Cup Update

Our Junior Cup team successfully made it through the qualifying stages of the Junior Cup last Saturday. From a field of 18 teams, WGC finished in 2nd place behind host club, Grange GC.

Sunday morning saw us paired against Elm Park GC and despite a brave and valiant effort we fell just short in our bid to repeat last years performance.

Elm Park GC went on to meet Grange GC in the final on Sunday afternoon which saw Grange coming out as overall winners.

Despite the teams disappointment, it was a huge achievement for this young squad, managed by Aengus Wilson to make it through the qualifying round in such a competitive field.

We wish the overall winners, Grange GC every success in their Leinster campaign.
