Course Notice

Now that our winter programme is coming to a close and we move to the Spring, the Course Committee would like to provide you with an update on two (2) course matters.

Return to Fairways
With effect from Monday 26 Feb we will return to playing off fairways.
For all golf, both competition and social, where a ball comes to rest (either on the fairway or in the rough), it may be lifted cleaned and placed within 6” and no nearer the hole.
We will also be moving off the shortened winter course and returning to tee boxes.
We anticipate that qualifying playing conditions will be in place from Monday 19 March but will update you in advance of this.

Trees
We will be removing a small number of trees from the general environs of the golf course over the coming days. We have identified a total of 7 trees to be removed as follows

  1. Two (2) x trees at side of practice putting area in order to improve the moisture content at fringes and collar areas
  2. Three (3) x trees on Tee Box #5 (Ladies) to allow light access the tee box and improve grass growth on teeing area
  3. Two (2) x trees at the corner of the walkway leading off Tee Box #8. This is necessary to facilitate preparatory works for repairs to the walkway
